Teenagersintokyo have been getting a whole lot of love on Hyperbole and I’m cool with that because they’re pretty brilliant and also the label guys keep getting some big remixes down for the Sydney indie clan. Who can complain with that?
The latest take on End It Tonight comes from Worship, turning the original into a broody space-jam of dark-step proportions. It’s a nice approach and it works surprisingly well. Grab it below and the synthy bonus mix from Tybalt too.

The blogosphere had a little tizzy last week as Van She smoothie Matt Van Schie dropped the brand new Memory Tapes remix of Journey on our arses. Already the standout track from his Balmy Nights EP (which you can pick up here for a ridiculously cheap eight bucks), Journey is well deserving of the extra attention that it’s now getting.
That’s going to continue to flow with next weekend’s retail release of the Versions package, which features peeps like Diamond Cut, Memory Tapes, Hemingway and Danimals going to town on MVS tracks. Ahead of that, I’ve been hooked up with the Teenagersintokyo remix of Journey which takes the cruisy, synth jam into broody, echo-y territory. Awesome. The inter-band love-in won’t stop there, as Matt’s due to hit the UK in the coming weeks, playing shows with Teenagersintokyo drummer Rudy in his posse. The new songs he’s been playing live are even better than the ones on the EP if that’s possible, so defos check the show out if it’s near you. Watch out world!

At last the debut LP from Sydney wonder team Teenagersintokyo is upon us. They’ve been holed up in Britain for the past year working on it and their chemistry with producer Dave Kosten (Bat For Lashes) is positively palpable on record. It seems as though we’re in for another release of End It Tonight, but that’ll make way for the spotlight to shine on the other worthy album tracks like New Day. Meanwhile, at least we’re blessed with some tasty remixes, like this one from Nightschool (Gossip). Dig.
